Christmas Cards

I've been having a little fun making some Christmas Cards. Hope you enjoy looking at them. I just love putting together these cards for my family and friends. Most all the products used are CTMH. If you need to order something from me, just go to my website http://www.juliam.myctmh.com/. There is a great clearance sale going on right now and you can also watch a new "Art & Soul" CTMH TV segment to give you tips on cardmaking and scrapbooking. Have a wonderful Holiday season!

Air Force Basic Graduation

Shawn graduated from Air Force Basic Training with Honors in October! It was hard, but we are so proud of his accomplishments. Caleb didn't want to let go of his daddy the entire weekend. It was so awesome to see all the graduates. Shawn played in the band the time he was in San Antonio and a small group was asked to play at the Spurs game halftime while we were there. Pretty cool. He is now in Biloxi, MS in training for 14 weeks and then we will see where he will be assigned. Quinci and Caleb can hardly wait.

Family Reunion-July 7-10, 2009

July 7th thru 10th we had a reunion with Ralph's family in Nauvoo, Illinois. We had 80 in attendance. We stayed at Camp Nauvoo. They had cabins, sites for camping and RVs, a huge lodge with a dining room and kitchen in the basement. Each family was in charge of one meal and the kitchen was so nice. It came with dishes, pans, and even a commercial dishwasher so we didn't have to buy paper goods. We had at least one representative from all the 8 children present. We attended the LDS Nauvoo pageant, visited the Old buildings in Nauvoo and also had 37 adults attend a Temple session and the youth did Baptisms in the Temple. Most saw the Carthage Jail where Joseph Smith was killed. We had a great time, but it was a little stressful for us since it was our turn to be in charge. We are glad that we won't have to do again for 16 years. In 2011 it will be in Washington State, hosted by Ralph's sister Silvia. We are so blessed by loving families and were so glad to be able to spend some time with them enjoying meals, playing games and attending the Temple together.

This card is 3x6. I used the blending pen to color (clover meadow, twilight, holiday red and sunflower) in the various parts of the medalion. The card base features clover meadow cardstock embossed lines using stylus and cutter. The medalion was pop dotted to give it some dimension.

Mystery Box cards

Hello! I ordered the $100 Mystery Box from CTMH last week and received over $200 in product. One of the items was a Bulk pkg of layout pages from More to Adore. I thought, I really like these papers but I can't do 20 layout's with the same paper. I made 4 cards from one sheet and one extra card base. I think they turned out great and gives my customers an idea of how to use the Level One layout pages. Hope you like them.

YM Girls Camp

I just spent the last week at Knobnoster State Park in Missouri as one of the cooks for Girl's scamp for our stake. There were 5 of us in the kitchen feeding 160 people 3 meals a day. We had no air conditioning, but we did have 3 ovens, a commercial dish washer and a walk-in fridge. We made great meals including home made cinnamon rolls one morning. I did really have a great time, except the cabin where we were to sleep had mice, so 3 of us just took our air mattresses and slept in our cars. It sure was nice to come home and sleep in my water bed. The girls were all great helping with the dishes, etc. One of the groups even sang as they did the dishes. I had to come home a day early to decorate a wedding cake for Saturday. It turned out nice.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful weekend. Trent and Lori started off by giving me an assortment of perennials to plant in my flower garden by my front door. I had my Open House for CTMH in the afternoon for the new Idea Book. We made fun cards and 2 page layouts using the new Bella papers. While I was having my Open House, Ralph planted my flowers for me.

On Sunday morning, I went to church with the beautiful 2 gardenia corsage that Ralph gave me. I think I was the only mom at church that had a corsage, so I felt really special. That afternoon, Lori made cubes steak for dinner, Trent made mashed potatoes, Heidi cut up fresh strawberries and cooked fresh green beans and Quinci brought some wonderful rosemary bread for the dinner. Heidi gave me some Pampered chef goodies I needed and Shawn gave me a gift card to buy more fun craft things at Michael's.

I am so blessed with my husband, children and their families. I thank the Lord everyday for all that I have. I talked to my Mom on the phone to tell her I love her also. We are all so blessed.

My Open House that was scheduled for May 2nd was postponed because of the funeral. I will be having it this Saturday, May 9th from noon till 4 pm. Please stop by and make a fun card with us.

New Year! Well, I am trying to keep up with this blogging, but not very good at it yet. Ralph and I are losing weight(He is doing a lot better than I am, but I am losing) Ralph is so much better at exercising. I really need to get into a routine that I like and stick to it. We are trying to get out of debt, so hopefully we will be able to retire in the not too distant future. I really want to work on building my CTMH business and then when Ralph retires we want to go on a mission.
